Lenalid 15 — Lenalidomide 15 mg
Lenalid 15 mg is an intermediate-strength immunomodulatory drug containing Lenalidomide (15 mg).
Manufacturer: Natco Pharma (India). Generic equivalent of Revlimid.
The Role of 15 mg Dose:
This strength serves as a vital dose-reduction option for Multiple Myeloma patients experiencing toxicity at 25 mg (Grade 3-4 neutropenia). It is also a primary starting dose for certain high-risk Myelodysplastic Syndromes.

Indicated for:
- Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS): Specifically for patients with transfusion-dependent anemia due to low- or intermediate-1-risk MDS associated with a deletion 5q abnormality.
- Multiple Myeloma (MM): Used in combination regimens or as a reduced dose for maintenance.
- Mantle Cell Lymphoma.
Strength: 15 mg capsule.
Standard Regimen (MM):
- 📅 Days 1-21: Take one 15 mg capsule daily.
- 📅 Days 22-28: Rest period (no medication).
⚠️ ADMINISTRATION:
- 💊 Swallow whole with water. DO NOT OPEN OR BREAK. Teratogenic powder inside.
- If a dose is missed by >12 hours, skip it. Do not take two doses at the same time.
🚫 PREGNANCY BLACK BOX WARNING:
Lenalidomide causes severe birth defects or embryo-fetal death. Females of reproductive potential must use two effective forms of contraception.
Also Contraindicated in:
- Breastfeeding.
- Severe hypersensitivity to lenalidomide (e.g., Stevens-Johnson syndrome).
Significant risks include:
- Neutropenia & Thrombocytopenia: Significant drop in blood counts. Dose interruption or reduction to 10 mg/5 mg may be needed.
- Venous Thromboembolism: High risk of DVT/PE. Anticoagulant prophylaxis is mandatory.
- Skin Rash: Can be severe.
- Muscle cramps and fatigue.
