Fruquin Capsules — Fruquintinib 5 mg (21 Caps) Everest
Fruquin 5 mg (Fruquintinib) is a highly selective and potent oral inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1, -2, and -3), serving as a generic equivalent to Fruzaqla. It acts as an angiogenesis inhibitor, effectively blocking the formation of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow and spread.
Manufacturer: Everest Pharmaceuticals (Bangladesh). This targeted therapy offers a new treatment avenue for patients with refractory metastatic colorectal cancer.
Key Features:
- ✅ Anti-Angiogenesis: Starves the tumor by inhibiting its blood supply via VEGFR blockade.
- ✅ High Selectivity: Designed to improve kinase selectivity, potentially reducing off-target toxicities compared to other inhibitors.
- ✅ Proven Survival Benefit: Demonstrated statistically significant improvement in overall survival for heavily pre-treated patients.
Prescribed by oncologists for the treatment of adult patients with:
- 🔹 Metastatic Colorectal Cancer (mCRC): Who have been previously treated with fluoropyrimidine-, oxaliplatin-, and irinotecan-based chemotherapy, an anti-VEGF therapy, and, if RAS wild-type, an anti-EGFR therapy.
