Azarest 300 mg (Azacitidine) is an oral hypomethylating agent and a generic equivalent to Onureg. Unlike injectable azacitidine, this formulation is specifically indicated for maintenance therapy. It works by incorporating into DNA and RNA, causing hypomethylation and direct cytotoxicity to abnormal hematopoietic cells in the bone marrow.
