Obeliva 10 mg (Obeticholic Acid) is a potent farnesoid X receptor (FXR) agonist and a generic equivalent to Ocaliva. It is indicated for the treatment of Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), a chronic liver disease. The drug works by decreasing the production of bile in the liver and increasing its removal, thereby reducing the toxic accumulation of bile acids that damage liver cells.

⚠️ APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Standard Dosage: Typically titrated from 5 mg, but the maintenance dose is 10 mg (one tablet) taken once daily.
- Administration: Take at approximately the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water.
- Hepatic Impairment: Patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh B or C) require a modified dosing schedule (consult a doctor immediately).
- ✋ Missed Dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double up.
- ⛔ Complete Biliary Obstruction: Strictly contraindicated.
