Velpatasvir is an NS5A inhibitor used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection. It is a pan-genotypic agent, meaning it is effective against all six major genotypes of the virus (GT1-6). Velpatasvir is used in a fixed-dose combination with sofosbuvir (trade name Epclusa). This combination allows for an interferon-free cure of Hepatitis C usually within 12 weeks.
