Ralmac (Raltegravir) 400 mg
Ralmac-400 (Raltegravir 400 mg) is a potent antiretroviral medication belonging to the class of Integrase Strand Transfer Inhibitors (INSTIs).
Manufacturer: McNeil & Argus (India). A generic equivalent of Isentress.
Mechanism of Action ("Blocking the Integration"):
Raltegravir targets the HIV integrase enzyme. It prevents the virus from inserting (integrating) its genetic material into the human DNA of the CD4 cells. Without this step, the virus cannot replicate and infect new cells.

Always used in combination with other antiretroviral agents:

- Breastfeeding is not recommended for women living with HIV.
